Ronnie James Dio RIP

Ronnie James Dio, dont la voix puissante, les paroles poétiques et les histoires mythiques de sa lutte incessante entre le bien et le mal ont changé le heavy metal, est mort, a annoncé dimanche son épouse. Il était âgé de 67 ans.

Le chanteur a également connu du succès en solo avec son groupe Dio, entre ses trois passages chez Black Sabbath, en 1980-82, en 1992 et en 2007-2009, alors que l'ensemble se produisait sous le nom de Heaven & Hell afin de le différencier des formations dirigées par Osbourne.


Plusieurs des chansons les plus mémorables de Dio ont pour thème la lutte entre le bien et le mal, incluant Heaven & Hell. De nombreux titres ont aussi été inspirés par l'imagerie médiévale, incluant Neon Knights, Killing The Dragon et Stargazer.


«Il possédait l'une des plus grandes voix du heavy metal, et il avait un coeur à la mesure de celle-ci», a affirmé le guitariste de Twister Sister, Jay Jay French, dont le groupe a maintes fois partagé l'affiche avec Dio depuis 1983.

C'est également Ronnie qui a inventé le signe du Rock ( \m/ )

Une grande légende ses éteinte,c'est peut-être mieux comme sa,vu l'état de la musique d'aujourd'hui...Je suis très triste dû a la mort de Ronnie,c'est une des plus grandes et plus belles voix du Rock/Metal selon moi.Ronnie m'a beaucoup influencé,surtout pour mon anscien groupe Midnight Call,il est maintenant partit rejoindre un de ses plus grands fans,mon amis Guillaume.

J'étais sur que ozzy serait mort avant >.<... vrm dommage (pas que ozzy soit pas mort). C'est foké, ya 2 de mes amis qui ont décidé de faire un projet sur lui justement, 1 mois avant sa mort ils l'ont choisi et ils vont présenté demain, à peine quelque jour après sa mort

RIP Dio... Grande perte dans le monde de la musique.
